Wondering if anyone has experience with refinishing old sinks/tubs. I was going to have a company come in and grind out the worn spots and refinish it with some acid-free process called the “Miracle Method” (“creates a molecular bond with the old surface…” but I’m wondering how it works/long it lasts.
Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

I am not familiar with the proprietary method you mentioned, but there are processes out there which do a very good job. I had a very old and beat-to-snot CI tub re-finished in 1995 and it looks as good today as it did then. Cost was about $750, including taking the tub to the contractor's shop and bringing it back. Well worth it, IMO, as a new CI tub of that size is several thou.

Most refinishers cant compete with the factory for durability. When they glaze tubs at the factory the metal is red hot and the glaze is actually sprinkled on with a sifter. Its baked on.
You cant do that on site.
Havent heard of the company you mentioned but most refinished tubs last about four years.
Family.....They're always there when they need you.
If you are talking about a kitchen sink forget it.
It won't stand up to pots and pans.
