Wife and i moved into our home last augist. Its oart cedar part brick. Last homeowner was older claimed its about 6 years from the last time he finished the cedar, and its showing a little age in spots. I know you cankot refinish over old coatings, but the spots that are worn i plan on sanding and touching up (they are very small). The rest seems to be solid. Ive been looking for maybe a clear satin finish to reseal the wood and protect the color. The finish was sikkens thats on it now. Sikkens makes a maitenence coat for previously finished wood. Im just trying to avoid paying slmeone to strip it entirely. I can clean it and refinish it but my schedule wont allow my to strip it. Does anyone know any other finish for recoating? Penofin had good reviews but meeds to be stripped like most. Any input is appreciated
