I just re-registered using same email and info. It would not let me use my same screen name. I have a new profile with 3 posts started in May 2004. Help!

Well... I think I got re-registered. Had to change my password, but otherwise it seems to be up and running.

It has you as 'member since 2002', so apparently it was just eliminating spaces from the sign-ons.

John,I don't know if you were around at the time or not but when we made the pilgrimage from Webx to Prospero everybody lost a lot of things, including their "member since" date. I don't think you will find any one that was "here" before 3/02.

Really? I got to use my old screen name, and it remembered the threads I was participating in. Did you try using the same email address? I didn't, and this could be the stopping part.

That 4/20/2001 thing was a flaw in the changeover. Some guys have managed t get their real "Born on dates" set to pre Prospero somehow. I don't know how though.

Same here, until I exited and restarted my browser.
If you want my opinion, I'm not happy with the new registration system.
I just found out that once you register, you are stuck with that screen name! There is no changing it. So simply because I panicked when it wouldn't let me have any spaces in my name I am either stuck with a crappy name, or I have to use this one, which is not attatched to my main e-mail so I'll not be getting any notifications now.
I really hope they decide to fix that flaw in the system. I'm betting I'm not the only one who didn't realize they only had one chance to come up with a decent name.

The change I see is a large PITA requirement to type in my whole email addy and the new double-sized password every time I show up. I never had a problem before, but though the *%&$)# program promises to remember me, it never happens.
Guess I need to try harder to make an impression.

Had to reregister, change name, subtracting an apostrophe. Old password wouldn't work either, had to change it to something I can remember. Maybe. What did I change it to again...?
I got my entire profile "back."
Now, I had to change the stinkin' p/w as the old one was not long enough <grrrr>
Breaktime needs the security only a 3 or 4 byte p/w gives over a 2 byte p/w?
I also went through all the steps, back when the warning emails went out, to reset my email to my email, so, I was medium confident that I'd get an exact match for that, at least.
Testing as well but the registration failed to recognise my e-mail address. I registered, otherwise all looks ok.
