Removing baseboard before floating floor
Had one of the home improvement channels on last night. They showed them putting in one of those floating, snap together wood floors.
They just left the baseboard in place, put down the flooring, and then covered the gap with 1/4round. Am I the only person who thinks the baseboard should come up before installing this stuff?! They’re just going to make it harder in the future to remove baseboard (if need be) and IMO making the baseboad look visually crappy.
Unless of course you like to have your baseboard 1/2″ shorter in one room than all the others.
