Hi. Does anyone know of an easy way to remove dried carpet padding glue from a concrete basement floor? I’ve had some good success with a wire brush but there is still some of the old glue left in the nooks and crannies of the rough cement floor. Once cleaned up, I will be painting the floor with an epoxy based basement floor paint (from Krylon). Also, would a floor sander (drum type) help the process go faster? Do they have wire brush type drums for those? Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

how about a cup wire brush on a grinder? please don't do what a friend of mine did and try to use chemicals to soften or remove the stuff .
By the way I didn't know he was going to try this but thank god the wife has a sence of smell and came to the stairs and told him to get out before he fumigated himself. All is well and after finishing with mechanical means the floor looks great.
