Gentlemen:
I just installed a new shower fixture which unfortunately required breaking a few tiles which I now have to replace. (I have extra matching tiles from the previous owner) The wall for the shower, to my surprise is concrete over mesh which the tiles are set into. My questions are 1) is there anyway of getting the tiles off “clean” without screwing up what’s underneath and 2) if not any ideas as to the best way (after I get them off) to provide a base to attach the new tiles onto?
Thanks in advance,
Carl

MultiMaster!
or, just a little grit saw (sold at HD for cutting out grout joints) and a small cape chisel and a hammer and safety glasses and long sleeves (trust me on that last part!).
Should come off fine

Diamond blade in an angle grinder, then some surgery with a cold chisel.
For a few tiles, I think you should be able to just reset them in thinset.
