So we pulled up a bunch of vinyl floor tiles, using some adhesive remover. But we still have to clean the old vinyl better. Any hints?
1. Wet an area with remover, let it soak, scrape, mop up with towel.
2. Wet a towel with remover, wipe.
???
Anybody had experience that seemed to work best?
Also, are there any fixes for a couple of small gouges in the old vinyl. It is sheet goods, not tiles.

So you're going to leave some sheet vinyl on the floor? Goof Off works. So does adhesive renmover from the auto parts store.

we use a citrus adhesive remover here at work. Might be the same beast as you're talking about at the car parts store.
Be carefull, Some of them are highly flammable.

Right, we are using an adhesive remover. The question is about method, or technique if you will. As in how to check if all the adhesive is removed, whether to put the remover on the floor or on a cloth, etc.
Best results we get is to "flood" small area and let soak 5 to 10 minutes. Then scrape with putty knife, then scrub with green pad. Wipe with cloth. This uses the lest amount of wipers.
