I just read the article on repairing hardwood floors. I just noticed a strip of my maple floors that don’t seems to have any finish on them. I noticed this cause rain came in threw an open window yesterday and the floor absorbed the water and changed color until it dried out, instead of just holding the water on top of it’s finish. I read Charles Peterson’s article in the recent issue about repair a floor and he suggest using Water Lox Tung Oil because it can be used to “recoat a floor only in worn areas”.
Can I basically just paint this on the floor in the area needed?
Has anyone used this before?
