I have a moderate leaking problem in my poured concrete basement walls, particulary where the wall meets the footing.
I understand that the correct repair is to excavate down to the footing, install drain tile, install a water proof membrane on the concrete wall then backfill. If this is correct, then where do I pipe the drain tile to?? The ground around my proptery is pretty level and my sewer pipe is at a higher elevation then the bottom of my footings. I don't expect a large flow of water in this pipe, can I run it into my yard a few feet and terminate it in a sandy area?? (there isn't much clay in the soil around here)
Thanks for your help,
Mike Farrell

M you drain the water to a sump pit and pump the water away. Far away if you have sandy soils.
