I have offered to repair a 20 year old clay tile roof near Puerto Vallarta. My background is several years installing concrete tiles in the cold weather climate of Alberta, Canada. I am not sure of what to expect except that the roof leaks and tiles are missing.
Questions that I have are:
What is the appropriate way to walk on a clay tile roof?
What holds the tiles in place?
What sort of structure would be common in that area for support of the tiles?
What specialized tools may I need on site?
What is the procedure to insert a new tile into the old roof?
What problems may I expect to encounter?
Any other advice that you experts out there could suggest considering the job and the location?
Thanks in advance
Richard
