I just did some cosmetic work for some good friends, replacing fixtures and tile at two bathtubs. The drain in one tub is a 2″ diameter fine-thread polished brass fitting, and I want to replace it with a lift and turn. None of the plumbing suppliers I have visited with can help me find one – everything they carry is 1 1/2″ diameter. A plumber suggested it was an old Crane fitting, but my supplier claims the Crane rep told her they had nothing available. I don’t want to custom machine a new drain fitting, and they don’t want to use a rubber stopper forever. Can anyone help me find this creature?
