I’m an owner builder (second time).
I am about to put metal roofing over 30lb roofing paper over 3/4″ cdx. Some 3 in 12, a little 6 in 12 roof.
The paper was stapled down and has been there longer than anticipated. THerefore it has taken mr of a beating.
The 6 in 12 has only taken sun (one side) and weather, but is pretty much without tears & hasn’t been walked on much. The 3 in 12s got a lot of traffic in places and have some tears including one that is leaking into the house.
Question is: pull it all up and replace before the metal goes on, or repair the trouble spots with a new ribbon?
Thanks in advance.

PS: Or go over it all? That seems risky to me in terms of flat under the metal, but maybe an option too?
