Replacing a chuck on a Dewalt Cordless

Hey Guys and Ladies,
I need some help. I need to replace my chuck on my cordless drill. I removed the screw but I can not get the chuck to break free. Any suggestions? The drill is a Dewalt cordless 18V model #DW958. All suggestions are welcome.
Thanks,

I changed my keyless chuck to a keyed one and had a similar problem. I ended up having my wife run the drill while I hit the end of a hex key I had chucked into it with a hammer. I can't recall if the chuck was threaded on right or left handed, it was definitely a nuisance to do.

toss the DW and get a Bosch...

You anywhere close to a service center?

I have tried to change chucks on my drills and found that the frustration factor is just not worth it. If it's a cheap drill, I just go and buy a new one! LOL
Took in one of my DW hammer drills for a new chuck and was done in 15 min for $18 labor plus the price of the chuck. I would have fought with the thing for hours... hours that I don't have... or I should say... hours I don't have to mess with something so frustrating!!

Mason,
I have replaced several and never had a problem. The chuck screws on clockwise if I remember correctly. All I do after removing the screw, is chuck a large allen wrench in the chuck and smack it with a hammer in the correct direction. It has always come loose on the first try for me.
Hope this helps,
