Hi! It’s my first time on that site. I subscribed many years ago to the magazine (Fine Home Building) and i really enjoy it. Ok, i have a question. I’m planning to change my old roof (50 years), including the sheating (plywood about 3/8). What should i replace it with? What can i use to ¨help¨ the insulation in the attic? I’m leaving in Canada, Québec where we have hot with humidity and cold with sometime a lot of ice and snow. Thanks

Describe your roof and house in more detail - what is the pitch, what kind of ventalation does it use, what kind and how thick is the insulation in your attic?

Oh, and if you can, figure out what your local jurisdiction requires, too.
Will not do any good to recommend one thing to find out the local building official requires something different.Occupational hazard of my occupation not being around (sorry Bubba)
