Hi folks,
I’m finally reassembling my pool table (after moving 6 years ago) and I want to replace the cloth. It seems like it should be pretty straight forward but I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on tricks or things to be particularly careful about (e.g., proper way to stretch the cloth0. I bought Simonis cloth which is supposed to be pretty good.
Thanks in advance.

I just did this. It's quite easy, and I found the instructions by Googling. The technique differs if your felt glues on, or if it staples on. If the slate has a wood frame below it, it staples. Anyway, just Google and you'll get it from the horse's mouth.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.
Crash,
I had the same challenge a few years ago but instead of fooling around with it since it has to be done exactly right I went down the local pool hall, played a few games and on my way out asked the guy behind the counter who did there tables. Pool halls are constantly refelting their tables. He happily gave me the guy’s card and I ended up hiring him for $125. The table was done before I would have even figured out which end of the felt was supposed face up.
Thanks Andy, WingNut,
I Googled as Andy suggested and found instructions. I have the woodframe. I started this afternoon and have the cloth on the table and tomorrow I'll do the bumpers
WingNut, I thought about having someone do it but I thought I'd like to give it a try. When we first bought the table in our previous house the guy who set it up did a so-so job so I figured what the heck. I got to give my new Stabila level a real test.
Lots of luck Crash and have some fun with that table!!!!
