There was an article in Fine Homebuilding within the last 18 months (I think) about replacing rotted foundation framing. The author said he became a specialist in this area because no one else wanted to take these types of jobs. I recollect that he used a farm jack attached to the outside wall of the house to lift the weight off the foundation, then replaced the rotted components. I’m working on replacing some rot on my own house and would like to reread the article. I can’t find it, though.
Anyone recall this article? What issue was it in?
Thanks for your help…

Calvin,
Thanks! I think that's it. We just moved recently, so a lot of our stuff is in boxes still. I've found all but 3 of my FH issues. Of course, issue #145 is one of the missing ones. I'll have to see if my local library carries FH.
Thanks again.
Todd
