I am trying to bring new life to an 1920’s beach house with some Victorian styling . The house has been totally decimated by continous bad renovations over its tortured life . The project is going well , but I need a good source for restoration materials (doors ,newel posts ,stair parts ,moldings, hardware) at reasonable prices . Trying to find a set of oak pocket doors (8ft.x3ft.) has been my most difficult. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Bill, in "scenic" Brooklyn you have a publishing company with a online venue: http://www.traditional-building.com
They have listings of sources.
*Bill, try Center Lumber Co. in Paterson N.J. (973)742-8300 or fax (973)8303.They have a large selection of cutting knives or will make any profile you want. They also make doors of any shape or size. Ask for Charlie in the mill shop. Vince
*Bill, Try United salvage in Stanford CT. I do not have a number here.
