Restoring Old Shot Windows or Buying New Andersen’s Double Glazed
I’ve got a project where the original windows on a old row house need to be replaced. They’re double hung and have the old pocket weights. Nice charm, but very water damaged. Need to be stripped, glued, screwed, epoxy….the whole deal. I’m also debating on andersen new replacements. Double glazed. Anyone know how much the Andersen’s might go for at 36 wide x 70 high or so? I need about 12 windows.
Much thanks,
ww

If the jambs of the old windows are in reasonable condition I'd consider inserts. I saw some (dunno what brand) last year on a flood recovery project in Iowa that were slicker than sh!t -- went in real easy and were tight and looked good.
