howdy all.
i have to replace a retaining wall that rotted away. the HO wants an allen block type wall. the wall will be 6ft tall 10ft wide with 4ft 90 deg forward turn on the right end and the left end will butt against the concrete foundation. the mfg claims the block can stack to 6ft, but im wondering being only 10 ft wide and that high if i should connect (with epoxy and rebar) the left side to the concrete foundation or will it hold ok?

I would connect it - IF the retaining wall has a footing depth similar to the foundation you are attaching it to.
It won't do if the retaining wall will be lifted by the frost independant of the foundation.

you could use a tieback of "geocloth" at 4 ft high but you'll obviously have to excavate and replace more dirt.
