I gutted a late 1800’s balloon frame house to insulate the walls and put in new windows. What is the BOCA requirement for fireblocking in this construction? The attic insulation is 12″ of blown cellulose, which reaches into the wall approx. down to the ribbon board below the ceiling joists. Do I have to install fireblocks?
