This vac appears to be very good, and at $99 It’s a bargain. My question though is that will it be able to suck up dust from a sander (mainly a belt sander) without clogging immediately like my current 1 gallon does? I hear (in knots) that you can get a filter bag to go over the existing filter to improve it

Get a Gortex filter, it works wonders. I am still amazed.
wow, those were fast responses. The Gortex filter will keep suction longer when sanding right? It works for any cylinder filter?

as long as it fits. I just cleaned one out last weekend that was so full of stuff it took me 10 minutes to clear but the suction was still pretty good.
You can attach vacuum bags to the inlet port, Shop Vac is one brand that comes to mind.
