I was looking for a 90 degree drill. I will be using it for cabinet installation mostly. The DeWalt drill looked nice, but I am not sure if I want to go with a cordless or a corded version. If anybody has any opinions I would sure be glad to read them.

*Black & Decker "1/4" heavy duty shorty drill" - given to me by a friend. He died about 12 years ago, I think of him when I use some of the tools he gave me when he was winding down. This is a damn good drill if you can find one. Joe H
*I have a cordless Makita DA391D which is nice for light cabinet work, not incredible power but okay for occaisional use, and takes same battery as my other drill (9.6V stick style). If you only need light stuff like hinges, stile screws, etc., it is a good unit, variable speed, fairly cheap, also. Good luck. Rich.
*You're right Joe, the shorty is sweet. It packs a punch for a 1/4" and does all that's asked. 5 bucks at a gar. sale next to where I was working. Probably run forever. Did yours have a short cord, this one looks original but it's only a ft. long. That paddle switch lets you get in even closer quarters. No clutch, No reverse, no variable, times were simpler then.Nice old tool.
*Calvin, I've got about 15' on it but think longer next time. $5 is a hell of a deal, I'll have to tell you about the Parks Planer I got for $300....think it works out to about $1 a pound. Joe H
*Here's a nice one .... for more look right here
*I have a 3/8" corded, variable speed reversible Milwaukee angle drill-not 90 degrees, maybe 70 degrees- with a lever trigger up by the chuck. Works very nice using one hand.
