Source control, ventilation, and filtration are the keys to healthy indoor air quality. Dehumidification is important too.

Funny, the media never publishes the cases of diligent and skilled contractors not receiving their pay from the "It'll cost more for you to sue me than it's worth, so go ahead, I'm not paying the last installment" crowd.
*Amen,Any of you guys watch the pbs program "Dream Home or Dream House"? I can't beleive the people that they find to frustrate some poor contractor, program should be renamed Clients from Hell.Gabe
*people should have known something was rotten for 6000 under high bidder, take the bottom of the ...... don't be surprised what you get. shoot for the middle or ask the high bid about his scope of work and what will set his work aside from the rest aside from price.
*I warn people all the time about getting a "deal". I tell them theres a difference in a fair price and a "deal". When its to good to be true it usually is.
*Are they what's called a "bottom feeder" and then become the "sucker."Especially after all those TV specials and consumer articles that say explicitly, do not hire the lowest bidder! You're right James. That $11K ends up being a 35% discount from the highest. Red Flag! Alert! Danger, Danger! Bet your $10 to my $100 that they thought the high bidder was the rip off guy.
*I just had one where the house was owned by one brother and the other hired me. after I was just about finished the first brother comes to me and asks me to do a couple of other things. I agreed and started to do those. One item was to replace 3 broken storm windows. I ordered the glass (which required a deposit) and then a day or two later a waitress from the local diner who was kinda hitting on me stops by the site (I didn't invite her she saw my truck and just popped in) I explained to her that although I was flattered, that I wasn't interested. anyway the brother that had hired me comes around just as she's leaving and accuses me of using his house for an affair! I tried to explain to him what had happened but he was almost violent and threw me off site. I called the brother that had asked me to do the extra work and he tells me that I need to talk to the other brother as he was the one who hired me. (doesn't matter to him that this one was the one who asked me to do the other stuff) I now have their windows and an outstanding bill with them which is only about 200 bucks. I guess my only consolation is that I still have their storm windows and they aren't getting them back until they pay up!
*Hey Steve what kind of shorts was she wearing :)
*Tight little black ones, oh fetished one!
*"Especially after all those TV specials and consumer articles that say explicitly, do not hire the lowest bidder!"Sonny, those same articles say to get 3 FREE ESTIMATES and to not pay until the work is done.
