Hello:
I have 3/4 of a bucket of roofing cement left over from when I did my roof last summer. It’s a flat roof, and I put on rubber roll roofing (cold type – no torch required). I used adhesive for a modified bitumen roof.
So far, so good.
Now, I am roofing a shed, and I want to keep costs to a minimum. I bought a couple of rolls of tarpaper.
Any reason I can’t use the mod bit adhesive?
Thanks,
Alex

How heavy the tarpaper?
The Roof ccement will outlast the tarpaper more than likely

I don't know the weight. It is a proper granulated roofing cover, though.
My concern is: Are there any compatibility issues, using the cement that is supposed to be for a rubber roof?
Thanks,

If granulated, it is 90# roll roofing, not tarpaper. You are fine with that roof cementYou get into incompatability issues with EPDM and the PVCs - maybe other modern non-bituminous product lines.

Thank you for the help.
As soon as these constant thunderstorms stop -- the weather report doesn't look too good in Brooklyn this week- I'll get down to work.
