Doing a condo, which falls under the residential catagory, but we’re goign to use all metal studs. I plan to use a licensed electrician, but I want to know what to expect. Do we need to use EMT for all the electrical?

Here in NW Oh, residential, we can use romex through the knockouts. But the knockouts need to be sleeved with a plastic ''grommet" that you can get at electical supply houses. There are also brackets you zip screw on the side of a stud when running up the stud. We have been allowed electrical taping the runs up and down a stud.

Calvin's got it. The boxes they use will probably be different from wht you are used to, also. Romex in metal studs is a PITA.
