I am planing an extension to my house. Have an existing 5/12 roof. The new roof will also be a 5/12. What is the best way to handle the construction of the valleys, cutting in the shingles, ect. Thanks. Bob

Sorry Bob,
Nobody's helping you out on this planing job because they don't do much of this. But I would recommend Lie-Nielsen planes for the small work, a makita hand planer for bigger stuff, and then a Williams and Hussey for most of the heavy work, say planing off old shingles.
