I’m adding a range hood in my kitchen and am venting it straight up from the hood through the roof. Is there a specific type of roof cap to use for a range hood or is something like this acceptable:

that Broan roof jack is the one we use
usually we paint it with a Krylon color to complement the roof
it's designed to take a 6" round duct, so you need a transition fitting to go from 3.5x10 to 6" round
