Can anyone give me a recommendation for a book on roof framing techniques?
It would be helpful if the book included rafter charts.

Roof Framers Bible. It's concise. It's a pocket sized reference book. Explains the basics, but doesn't get into all the odd situations. Probably 30 pages of text and the rest is rafter tables, including tables for bastard hips, etc. I believe the author is ? Mussel (sp?)

I really enjoyed Roof Framing by Marshall Gross. It's heavy on the triganometry, but he explains it really well, so it's not terribly daunting. It was fun cutting a roof from stock based on his calculations and having everything fit perfectly the first time. :)
