Roof Mold – Any easy to use products?
Hi,
I just got lost in the archives and couldn’t find what I was looking for. I know this topic has been here many times.
My north facing roof has a mold or algea problem. It started developing into moss.
Today I used a pressure washer and got ride of the green spots. Next Summer I’ll inspect that roof to see if the shingles are OK. If they survived the moss and the washing, I’ll install some zinc.
In the meantime, I’d like to inhibit the re-growth of the algea & moss before a more infolved fix next Summer. Has anyone had any luck with anything? I tried bleach a few years ago and didnt really notice any results.
Thanks,
Ed

Thanks for that link because I had been seeing the zinc as a guaranteed sucess. It isn't.
Hope I don't have to take this all the way to new shingles with copper included with the granules. Next Summer.
