Has anyone used Porter Cable roofing nailer? I will use it maybe once a year to do roof. The PC costs about $100.00 less. Is siding attachment for Bostitch worth the price? Couldn’t I use the depth adjustment for vinyl siding? Thank you.

Bought a used PC coil nailer for $150 and it works just great. For infrequent use, I would recommend looking for a used tool.

Have two PC roofing nailers that I use about six times a year. Purchased both of them new and they are great for infrequent use. PS...dropped one and broke the plastic case during the warrenty period....fixed free. Can not beat that....
BTW if you are only going to do one roof ....why dont you rent one?

I bought the PC coil nailer a few months ago. Double fired nearly every time, jambed constantly. I took it back after three hours and bought the Bostich. Maybe I had a defective one but I doubt that I'll ever buy anything PC again.

I have had a PC roofing nailer for 1 1/2 years, have put on a hundred sq. of shingles without a problem. I find the weight &balance better than the Bostich.
*Thank you. Bought the PC today. Had a little trouble with depth adjustment and Safety Rod, but repaired without too much trouble. Cranking the adjustment dial to full and test firing nails jammed the rod. Had to remove the nose piece and loosen the rod, then dial worked again.

There's a reason why PC guns are cheaper, whether you're talking framer, finish or roofer.
