Router bit for creating h/w floor groove
Does anybody know where to get the 1/4″ top bearing bit used for creating the groove for hardwood flooring tongues (mentioned in the Jan ’02 issue of FHB)? (FYI, it’s standard 3/4 red oak flooring I’m dealing with).
Also… wouldn’t I get the same effect by using a router table and a 1/4″ 3-wing slot cutter set to the proper height and depth of cut? While the stock wouldn’t be riding on the bearing for the slot cutter, the table would maintain the proper depth of cut. Is this a good approach?

This was asked before. The author(i think) came here and said where he got the bit, as per fhb jan 02. I htink it was MLSC bits. The post was in the old forums, dont know if that (post) made it over.
OK did a quick search look here. they spill the beans on the bit

Thank you much! I usually do a search before posting, but with the new format... I guess I was reluctant to dig through the old posts.
Thanks again!
