Getting ready to do my counters with soapstone and I’m not sure if I should use fluted bits or spiral bits for staightedging the slabs?
Thanks

Few people understand it. Nobody agrees what it is, how to learn about it, or who's responsible for it. It has never been more important

Got a varible speed router?..use a SINGLE flute carbide, slow down the rpm's to 1/4 from slowest..light passes, get xtra bits.
An airpowered router lets ya use water as dust wetter and coolant..but you probly dont have that. You can however spray mist with a little water, and not soak the motor, and it helps with keeping the dust out of the armature.
Fun stuff to work..depending on where it is from.
