We are replacing a tar & gravel flat roof with a torched down rubber roof. I want to put a rail around the sides of the roof for architectural interest – something similar to the old “widow’s walk”. Can anyone tell us how to waterproof the railing? Does it need to be constructed and/or attached to the roof in any particular fashion? The roof is going on, on Sunday. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
