I don’t wear them enough. Problem is, I seem to fog them up consistently. Maybe I sweat through my eyes more than most people????? 😛
But really, once they haze over, I take them off unconsciously. Then I scratch them. Then I go back to bare eyes.
I don’t mind paying a chunk of money for some decent eyewear, although I haven’t tried that yet.
The irony is that everyone I work with has prescription glasses, so their advice is not much help.
Any words of wisdom?

Have you tried an antifog cleaner? Some are OK.
No, I have not. Is that something I'd need to buy somewhere where they sell glasses, or is it widely available?
There are usually several types in the glasses/contacts area at a pharmacy. I like this one, but they are probably all similar.

Wow, that is one easily defeated filter.
easy there, young.
You might consider deleting that last post as a gesture of humility towards the moderators.

Andy and Biff,
Keep it clean! Did either one of you notice you were posting in the General folder (!) and almost ruined a perfectly legitimate thread? Should have listened to Eric. Robyn Aitken

I thought the point of the filter was so you could swear as much as you like without offending anyone. ;-) Heh.I'm actually in favor of the filter myself, although I think the word list needs some editing. Some of the filtered nouns are utterly absurd.Edit: That's a roundabout way of saying "I'm sorry."

try wetting your finger with a bit of saliva and smearing the insides of clean lenses
leave them get a bit damp too

Man, I wouldn't use catcrap.
Use something more moderate, like vaseline.
That stuff won't come off, in the middle of the job.
And you won't have cats trying to bury your glasses while you are working.
Or hey, you could try something more tasteful, like peanut butter or chocolate frosting !

If your safety glasses are fogging up, it's because they fit you too close to the face or because the side-flaps don't have vent holes. Glasses, like roofs, gotta be ventilated. You need some dry, fresh air moving behind those glasses to carry away the moisture-laden air coming off your hot, sweaty face.
If you can't find a pair of safety glasses that won't fog on you, consider getting a flip-down face shield.

Could spit in them and rub it around. Works in my SCUBA mask.
Antifog compound may be more elegant.

I may have to check on this, but I believe the answer is "Bar soap." Rub some bar soap on the insides, then buff to a clear "polish" with a kleenex, and you'll be good for a while.
Works with ski goggles too.
For diving, I mix baby shampoo with rubbing alcohol (about 50-50), rub some on and then a quick rinse without taking it all off. Seems to work great underwater. I don't know if it would help with safety glasses - when mine start fogging up, I just grab a new lens. Usually, by that time, the old one is pretty scratched up and at a few bucks for the lens, it isn't a big investment.
The glasses I like are the Uvex Genesis wrap-around style. They don't seem to fog too quickly unless I am in the rain or something and at < $10/pair, they don't break the bank either.
Good luck.
Steve
saliva, even the divers use it to stop fogging. it is the poor mans anti fog.
I've given up on safety glasses. I wear the same sport sunglasses in the shop I wear when framing. Chose a pair that don't affect your vision in low light too much. At this time of year they are dirt cheap, I just picked up a pair of Ironman Foster Grants for 8 bucks.
