Pump jacks would be the way to go.

You're planning on replacing the siding on the gable wall, too, I assume?
I'd scaffold it up full height by full width. You don't have much overhang so that's a blessing.
You're gonna need half-width frames to fit in the width of your stairs, and half-height sections to step up the stairs until you get to the top. I hate those 29"-wide frames because they're so narrow they wobble if you even look at them...but you're gonna have to tie the whole thing onto the house no matter what, so it should be okay.

thanks for the replies
Well, you know, I live in a dairy farm area. Should be cheap on supplies. :)
Thats good, but I would have left the bales on the trailer. That way you could pull your setup around th the rest of the house. Great picture Ralph, made my day.
What about a ladder jack setup with scaffolding??

Anything other than pump jacks is going to be very restrictive for siding work. I don't think you can set ladders up on the stair side and I own a bunch of the narrow scaffolding and it would be a huge pain in the butt to set up that much scaffolding to cover that long a run.
You should be able to rent the pump jacks but there not that expensive to buy, the long walkboard needed is rather expensive but I would definatel;y use a long alum. walkboard.

Damn you, put a warning on those things! I just shot a mouthful of coffee through my nose. Smells nice, though.

HAHAHA Ralf, loved the redneck scaffold!!
I would rent a bucket lift......probly only need it a couple days, so it wouldn't be that much. Lot less work than the 29'' scaffold
