The Schluter System web site has a cross section of a typical E$lectric thin -mat or wire installation over plywood.
The Electric Thin Mat is show as sitting in a bed of Latex p.c. mortar wth a layer of Unmodified thin set mortor over to adhere to the Ditra.
Please difine Latex p.c. mortor ( I asssume it means Latex portland cement Mortor)
I guess it is the term Latex that I question??

They mean latex modified thinset -- it is commonly available with latex in powdered form premixed in the thinset or as a latex additive (better) that you add to the thinset when mixing.
Go over to http://www.johnbridge.com and they will set you on the straight and narrow.
