We're talking about something like this, right? It's a Lutron.

Yeah, I've used some. It's a two part gadget. You screw on a back plate like a normal one, then the "screwless" cover snaps onto it. And long before you have to open it up again, you forget how to unsnap it. ;-)

Cheetah speed systems by Cheetah USA.
The Lutron plates and devices are made to work with a standard box, with 6-32 strap screws.
Cheetah is a system where the devices come with plastic mounting pegs on 'em, which fit into corresponding holes on the boxes. The pegs have teeth and the holes have barbs, kind of like a cable tie, so once you've wired up the switch or receptacle, you just slam it into the box and snap on the plate. I saw the Cheetah stuff at ElectricWest in Feb and it looks like good stuff.

You can use other devices with the Cheetah boxes; you buy separate pegs and screw the strap screws into the pegs, then the pegs fit into the box holes.
I haven't used 'em yet, but I've heard from guys who have that the homeowners like the look, and the time saved on trim out is amazing.
