Dudes what with those people who package the screws for the door/drawer knobs for cabinets.
Everytime I buy some knobs ect I go to install them and they to short.
I always end up having to go back and buy some longer ones. Now my longer ones are to long ( 1 1/4) So I go to go and buy some shorter ones. Still longer than the ones that came in the package.
Geesh whats with these guys.

Stacy's mom has got it going on.
Here's another option.
Awww, Don. You beat me to that one - lol.
Sancho -
I've run into that problem so often that I just keep a selection of #8 - 32 screws on hand at all times. My local ACE Hardware sells them. Usually, a "stock" length will work but I occasionally need to break out my multi-purpose wire crimping tool (see Don's picture) to cut one to the length I need.
Just get some 8-32 screws in assorted lengths.
The ones they supply are normally long enough for the cab doors but not for the drawyers.
...so sometimes I just countersink on the drawers. Is this tacky?
Yea - I haven't done that in at least 2 weeks... :-) Didn't "admit it" though cause I figured I'd get flagged by the fine home building wana-bees ;-) (that includes me)
Yea I took Dons advice and went and got a cutter. But dog gone it you'd think they'd give ya a couple of different sizes in the packages.....grrrr....
