I live on the Gulf Coast and am seeking an independent comparison of the various DIY hurricane storm panel options that are out there. I’m leaning toward installing either the fabric or the corrugated plastic panels. Either are available, though I’ll probably have to get the fabric panels shipped to me from the manufacturer because local dealers only do complete install jobs whereas the corrugated plastic folks will sell me the cut panels for my installation. I have a couple small kids and during Rita my wife watched them while I put up plywood panels by myself. It took most of the day and almost killed me even though I had already pre-cut them. The fabric and plastic panels seem to be a snap to put up.

I'm thinking the forum's software could use a little tweaking in that I really don't know why some posts, such as yours, take so long in getting posted and apologies for no one responding to your question.
So this post, in response to your question, will bump the thread through the 'recent discussion' listing again which will increase it's viewing.
Perhaps it will catch someone's attention that can help you with advice.
Cheers
