Seeking quiet electric wall heater
All,
I have an old Cadet X202 electric wall heater and I’m looking to replace it with a model that has a quieter fan. Any advice on other brands to look at is appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Matt,
If you're looking for an in-wall heater, I've been putting in the Cadet register plus heaters on my last couple projects. They're nice, low-profile grilles that look enough like a regular heat register to pass a quick glance, and hooked up to a thermostat they're pretty good little units. My electrician turned me on to them as I was looking for something quiet and not too chintzy looking for spaces where I had to go with electric heat.

We have one of these - http://www.king-electric.com/ in an outbuilding. Not the quietest but very reliable.

We have a vacation home in Canada where we installed electric wall heaters. The units all have the same dimensions but they can have different electrical elements (from 500 to 2,000 watts). The grills look good and the blowers are very quiet. I sometimes have to walk over to one to see if it's on. They are manufactured in Quebec but I'm having a senior moment and can't remember the maker ("Inter-Something"?). You might find a reference on the internet.

A brand called Convectair is common around here. Some have fans, most don't.
