I have a Senco FN25 XP, the 18 gage brad nailer. I’ve used it less than half a dozen times for DIY stuff. I was putting up some trim, when I pulled the trigger, I happened to run out of nails at the same time that the compressor restarted (100′ of hose away). Shouldn’t have really mattered that the compressor restarted, since the regulator was set for 80# and the compressor restarts around 90.
Anyway, after that incident, the gun began to leak significantly at the little firing piston that the trigger actuates. I took out the trigger assembly and removed and reinstalled the firing piston. Now it doesn’t seem to leak anymore, but I haven’t tried using it again. Anyone know what caused this, and what, if anything, I need to do?
I’m kind of disappointed that this happened, after all the good reviews that Senco gets on this site. I’ve literally only shot about 200 nails with the thing.
Thanks for any tips.

Crud. Chipped O ring. Lack of lube. All three

The O-rings looked good, and this nailer is supposedly oil-free. So that leaves crud as the possible culprit. Will check for crud. thanks.
Air tools that sit w/o use for a period of time have been known to act "funny" when they are put back into service.
