Sewer ejector connection to gravity line
I have a sewer ejector in my shop that I need to connect to the piping under the house. When I was doing the site work for the shop I tunneled under the house foundation and ran the 2″ ABS discharge line in, right next to the front porch. There are two 3″ ABS branches near the rear of the house that drain to the septic tank. My plan is to pipe with 2″ hung from the joists over to one or the other of those branches, and wye into it. I will hang the 2″ with some slope so that it drains out after the pump shuts off.
Is there anything more to it than that? The pump has its own 2″ vent thru the roof of the shop, but I was not planning on venting the section under the house independently… after all, it’s not a trap. The pump came with a 2″ check valve that is to be installed into the outlet piping. That’s all I know. How is yours set up?

around here [ks] you have to come out of your ejector pit,1st thing is a union, next is your check valve, then a shutoff valve, then mine heads up to the sewer line. this is so you can shut the line off and pull the pump. union and shut off are both pvc. larry
hand me the chainsaw, i need to trim the casing just a hair.
Good point about the valve. They sent one with the unit.
