We are building a new home and I really like the look of 5-panel doors for interior entryways. However, we are building the home with wider doorways for accessibility purposes….will the 5-panel style look good in a wider door or will that alter the historic look of the door too much?
If you think the 5-panel would be a poor choice, any other suggestions? Don’t really want the typical 6-panel that seems to be in every spec house built around here.

Have you looked at Jeld-Wen? really nice products
Actually, yes. That is where I first started looking at the 5-panel style; however, I wasn't sure if it would work with the wider door. Most of the 5-panels that I have seen in photos look like they are 24" or 32". Really was hoping someone had a sense of whether a 5-panel would still look OK in a 36" door. Thanks for the tip, though. Luckily, there are lots of other styles to choose from if this one won't work.
Another nice line is Tru-stile at http://www.trustile.com. Their high country style is very nice looking.
They also have an Arts and Crafts line with many combinations of stiles and panels
