I’m building an addition with a 3:12 shed roof and the high point attached to an existing verticle wall. Venting can be provided at the soffit, but this does not provide “Cross Venting”
The roof will have sheet rock on the bottom and sheathing on top with insulation sandwiched in between (1″ air gap on top of Ins.). There are also several dead bay spots where Skylights will be installed.
Is the soffit vent addequate?
Can a ridge vent be used where the roof meets the verticle wall?
Any other ideas, comments or past experience would be appreciated!
Thanks for any help!
