Getting ready to run some Pex and wondering if there are precautions I should take where it is near HVAC ducts that are running below the floor joists. The Pex will be approximately 3 inches above the ducts, not resting on it.
Is there enough heat given off from uninsulated ducts to create a problem?
If so, is there a recommended setback from ductwork? Or a recommended measure to provide a heat shield? (PVC conduit for the Pex, or insulating wrap for the duct?)

You can place some fiberglass insulation between the pex and the duct, but check the rating on the pex tubing. You should be fine.
