I am looking to renovate a bedroom. The bedroom will be divided from a dressing room, and I’d like to use a Shoji-style pocket door in the opening. Has anyone worked with manufacturers of these types of door? Any recommendations? I’d be particularly interested in a source located near Philadelphia.
Thanks,
Glaucon

Did something similar In mine I found a 24" glass door with just 5 glass panes no vertical divisions only horizontal. mounted that pocket door fashion. We are either going to front the panes with glass frost in a can, or film them with rice paper film Lowes Home Depot. I got the door real cheap. I think it is in Simpson Door still has this design.
Other wise Home depot had some closet doors that where a kit that had a rice paper look to them. I would go wider them 24 if I could I was limited width wise 28 or30 at least.

Just curious did you find anything?Wallyo
Not in the East, but you might want to take a look at Cherrytree's website. They have a few Shoji pocket doors and this might give you some ideas if nothing else.
