Could anyone explain what the different colors for vinyl shower pan/membrane liners mean.
I am about to install a shower pan and purchased a yellowish color liner, often they are grey, but I have also seen red and blue. Is the yellow for a different application? I have also been told some react differently to different solvents?
Thanks

Your choice of color is directly related to your political party affiliation.
Just kidding.
I've only seen grey and blue.
Who makes the yellow??
Get the correct glue as per manufacturers directions.
Good luck.

The colors are no indication of quality nor thickness. Ones made by the Nobel Company are often grey, and the product is CPE, a PVC like substance, which they claim is superior to PVC, at a greater cost, of course. Other membranes are orange yellow, blue etc.
The important thing is to get a membrane which meets your building Code for thickness, at least 40 mils here in LA, and get the appropriate glue for the membrane, by same manufacturer, and get the same jamb corners by the same manufacturer. If your membrane is indeed grey, then Nobel has a complete line of products available through most tile distributors, including DalTile.
Good Luck.
