Gentlemen,
What ever happened to “Shurwall”. I remember this product was used to parge dry laid block to form a unitized structure. I have searced the net with no success. Maybe I am not spelling the products name correctly. I think the product was “Invented” at Clemson or the USC ( Univ. of South Carolina). My memory of this product goes back 10 or fifteen years.
Thanks guys,
BunkerBilly

Quikcrete makes a similar product called QuikWall that is available at most of my local Big Boxes. You can find more information on the web if you search for "Surface Bonding Cement".
I live in house that has a QuikWall drystack basement, so holler if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Erk
Erk,
Thanks for the info and I will certainly check it out. I am always amazed at how much information can be gleaned from the Breaktime Discussions.

The "inventor" of surewall lives not to far from here. I believe it was first used in the coal mines for cementblock airwall and ventilation shafts. He mite be dead now but altho he sold his rights he was still allowed to sell some on his own .I know several structures; houses and cisterns were done with it and are doing fine one being an underground house.
Ive almost used several times waiting for masons and i did get some info from a co. named something like Bonwall and i believe they were in NC.
