I came across sixteen old shutter locks while cleaning out the shop. These were from my grandparents house in Swampscott, MA and somehow they ended up in my shop in GA. I can’t throw them away but doubt I will ever use them. they are in good shape and have the original bolts that go with them.
Anyone have a use for these???

What does a shutter lock look like?
I've thought about building some shutters for our windows that are functional for hurricane season other than those fake things we have now......

The ones I have look similiar to this although without the scalloped edge. The proper name may be shutter dogs.

How do you attach them to the house? I guess they turn or rotate so you can close the shutters. Thanks for the pic.

Good Morning, and I am very interested in the shutter locks. Have a 1906 house and I am in the process of building shutters for the 33 windows. How much?
I have no idea. Make me an offer on them. Probably weighs about 6 lbs to ship. I'd like to see them used and I doubt I will ever use them. I'm in GA zip 30135.

Where in GA? I am in NE Fla and will be heading to MI in two weeks and maybe could pick them up, in the meantime I will look at the price. Good condition I don't mind paying the going rate. What size are they?
