We are going to be working on a large commercial project this coming spring that will be utilizing exterior sips wall panels. I’m wondering if anyone here has any sips projects planned for this fall or winter in the Northeast, preferably NY state, area? I would be interested to stop in as an observer and familiarize myself with the installations a little more. I am also contacting our supplier for same information.
I’m open for any labor saving tips anyone might have. This job is a little different than a normal sips house. It is a three story commercial project, that will get vertical panels, not horizontal.
All floors are spancrete resting on concrete load bearing walls. The sips just forms the outer insulated skin. Panels will range up to 8’x24′
in size.

Time saving tips, long ratchet straps to pull panels together(flat hooks word better than wire hooks on OSB edges.) With wire hooks insert plats and end blocking and drill a 3/4"ish recess where you want to hook the panel to keep the hook from sliding.
Warm up your glue things slide together much better than when it's cold and stiff(especially long panels)
Have extra lifting hardware eye screws or clamps whatever your using on hand, keep the crane operator busy. (slings and chokers too)
Good luck with your Job.
